Performing Arts

Your gift to NDSU Performing Arts supports programs and students across Theatre and Music, with highlighted areas of support including student theatrical productions and the Gold Star Marching Band in its first FBS season, with 50 unique GSMB donors unlocking a $5,000 D'Avignon Family challenge gift. Gifts to the Challey and Friends Visiting Artist in Residence Fund support both continued student participation in life-changing international ensemble tours as well as music students working with world-class guest artists, with 20 unique donors to the fund unlocking a $20,000 Bob and Sheila Challey challenge gift. Gifts to the Jo Ann Miller Choral Legacy Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000 by Scott and Jonda Stofferahn in supporting Messiah productions, choral graduate student stipends, and guest choral music residencies, while gifts toward scholarships help students to focus on achieving degrees and moving into positions of leadership throughout the region.

Graduates from the national ACTF award-winning professional and liberal arts programs at NDSU Theatre work regionally and nationally — as performers, technicians and administrators. The Challey School of Music trains highly effective music educators, performers, and conductors across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees, with graduates serving at many of the region's K-12 schools and higher education institutions.
