Support Every Student: Give to NDSU Libraries on Giving Day
When you give to the NDSU Libraries, you’re giving a gift to every student. The Libraries serve as a cornerstone of academic success at NDSU, offering resources, spaces, and support that are open to all. From quiet study areas to research consultations, multimedia tools, and cultural collections, the Libraries are here seven days a week to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond.
This year, we are also celebrating a special milestone: the 75th birthday of the Main Library building and the founding of the Institute for Regional Studies, both established in 1950. In recognition of this anniversary, we’re introducing a new giving level:
$75 for 75, a $75 donation in honor of 75 years of learning, discovery, and impact. Donors at this Legacy Level are helping celebrate the past while investing in the future of NDSU Libraries.
Your Giving Day gift helps ensure the Libraries remain a dynamic, student-focused resource at the heart of NDSU’s academic mission.
Choose the project your gift will support:
- Library Fund
Your gift helps enhance and expand student-focused spaces across the Libraries. Recent projects include new study rooms, improved quiet zones, and the nearly completed student lounge, created in direct response to student feedback. This fund also supports accessible technology upgrades and continued development of the MultiMedia Studio, including podcasting tools and Lightboard equipment. - University Archives Fund
Help preserve and share the stories of NDSU and the Northern Plains through the University Archives, which includes the Institute for Regional Studies. The Archives serve as a vital educational and cultural resource, housing manuscripts, photographs, oral histories, and records that document the people, places, and events that have shaped our region and university. Your support expands public access, digitization efforts, preservation needs, and student research opportunities. - Germans from Russia Heritage Collection (GRHC) The Germans from Russia Heritage Collection (GRHC) is undergoing a two-phase renovation designed to transform the student and visitor experience. Phase I was completed in spring 2025 thanks to generous support from donors. Now, we look ahead to Phase II—featuring the creation of an engaging, museum-quality exhibit that brings the story of the Germans from Russia to life. This is a unique and meaningful opportunity for donors to help preserve and share this remarkable cultural legacy.
