NDSU Extension’s mission is to empower North Dakotans to improve their lives and communities through science-based education. With a presence in every North Dakota county, Extension provides education that improves the economic, health, and community conditions for North Dakotans while strengthening agriculture, stimulating communities, developing youth potential, and protecting the environment.
Giving Day philanthropic support will fund:
- Rural Leadership North Dakota — a fund to support this 18-month dynamic leadership development program for men and women who are dedicated to strengthening agriculture, their community, and the state of North Dakota for the future. Learn more.
- NDSU Extension — a fund for staff scholarships, fellowships, awards, and professional development
- Aging in Communities (AIC) — a fund to support the AIC program that coordinates support and resources to improve the quality of life for rural older adults who wish to stay in their homes in south-central and southwest North Dakota. Learn more.
- Horticulture Gardens — A fund to keep the NDSU Horticultural Research and Demonstration Gardens looking beautiful for years to come by funding undergraduate internships and improving infrastructure through interpretive signage and creation of shady spaces with benches to sit and reflect
